New Radiator for 2007 335i

Hello,

It appears that I have a small crack in my upper hose outlet. Can this be fixed or do I need a new rad? If replacement is needed, any suggestions on the best options?

Thanks!

New radiator is needed unless you want to take a donor radiator and attempt to uncrimp/crimp the plastic side pieces, which risks further breakage and a leaks.

You could try to JB weld it and see if it holds....I mean hey, worth a shot if it's just the plastic piece.

If not, now's a good time to upgrade Go with a CSF performance radiator!

You could probably try fixing it, but my worry would be when the system gets pressurized will it just wind up completely failing anyways.

If it was my car I would just replace the radiator - also, I would be doing the work and my labor is free and I don't mark up prices. Probably go with a Behr (I think that was OEM supplier) and shop around for the best price. I think some have used Nissens too, not sure how reliable they are or quality of their radiators.

EDIT: or go for aftermarket upgrade as was stated above. And I apologize for saying the same thing as above - typing before that was posted.

I would just replace the radiator and be done with it. Make sure you look over any of the main hoses that connect to the radiator. Now would be a good time to replace them, if you have any doubts as to how long they might last. If they look good, then no worries.

Mishimoto makes a sweet radiator for our cars but it will run you over $500.00.

ECS tuning sells them.

Look into FCP Euro. You can get a lifetime warranty on all of their parts.
