Anyone have or had the bmw assist convenience plan

Just curious if anyone had used this extra service (aka Concierge Service). If so, what do you use most often for?

I can see how it might be handy once in awhile (for instance to have them send you a destination for the Nav system if you are driving and don't want to enter the address, maybe?).

What else do they offer (tickets and dinner reservations probably won't be on my highly used list of features). I can see being able to get a quick traffic update (assuming they have good data) and weather updates (again assuming it is not just a 5 day forecast).

And I guess maybe it gives you someone to talk to if you get bored

But in all seriousness, I would love to know what people think of the service that use it.

Thanks.

Isn't BMW Assist free for the first year or something like that?

The basic Safety Plan is free for the warranty period. He's talking about the $199 enhanced service "Convenience" plan: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...iencePlan.aspx. Not worth it to me, but some might find it useful.

Let me know what you think of it. Just curious what people end up using it for day to day.

Thanks
