Talking Official: GT5 Prologue Thread

i just got the game today 6pm and now i have the suzuki weak car needed for the class c races, golf gti, and nissan gt-r, also had the alpha romeo as first car but sold once i didn't need.

the easiest way to get money is this. start with alpha romeo. once you completed 1st place in all the races in c class you can do the first race (circular one) over and over in the romeo. once you have enough buy yourself an m3 or gt-r whatever and use that car on the same race. keep doing this until you get $$ for whateer you need.

right now i only got 2 more races in c class with everything being 1st place .

RX-8 is probably one of the best cars to start with

I can't get around the dam high speed on where you can only use the cappuccino. Bronze is the best I can get. That's with ALL driving aids completely off and everything set to simulation though so I don't want to hear how it was super easy with aides.

in c class the first race its like a circle with a few loops and is open to all manufacturers with 2 laps.

i thought tuning wasn't in the prologue? also i really do hope our cars, money, etc transfer over to the full version when it comes out.

i really hope porsches are in the full version.

I agree, I went with this route as well.

Working on getting that F430 and the F2007 Btw, the 135tii concept is a gas (but it won't qualify for the BMW events).

I love the dash view, thats my default. Using the old logitech DFP wheel (GT4) enjoyably but will probably upgrade to the new GT sanctioned wheel

Yes you can. The Spec II update you download when you start the game allows you to tune the cars (just not at the beginning).

I've got the G25 logitech wheel and a playseat... Heaven!

That is, when I can pry my 5 year old son away from the seat. lol

Thinking about getting a buttkicker. I'm seriously addicted now.

By the way, the Integra rocks as a first car. I'm pretty sure it allows you to enter the most races at the beginning.

^ very true. but its mad hot right now 80 degrees and i just want to chill downstairs and play gt5 haha.

hey guys if you have a fast car just keep doing race b-5. its 12000 for 1st place and is a circle lap 3 times. easy cash. also for the timed race things, use the rails haha. no need to brake. bounce off the rails and keep your high speed.

also for those of you who are in a class what car are you using? the gt-r is obsolete there.

o and the ferrari f2007 is free if you beat c, b, a, and the s class (uber races unlcoked after you beat c, b, and a).

i am not officially taking a break. i beat all of the a class now besides the x2 races requiring an m3 and ferrari. i found another easy way to make money. keep doing the race a6 with a z06 (you need this car anyway for other races). 1st place 18k circle 5 laps.

also do we get to tune after we beat class a? after class a there is s which is the real deal with the penalties, gas, etc.

right now i need to do the a6 race until i have enough for m3 and ferrari to finish the class a section.

Okay, now we're talking. I set my logitech G25 wheel on "simulation", put the physics on "professional", turned off traction control and all other aids except the braking line (it is so awesome, I need to wean myself from it), selected manual tranny with the "H" shifting mode on the G25, and selected the cockpit view.

Closest thing to driving an e92 M3 than.. well driving an e92 M3 (I've driven one).

This game rocks hard.
