Anyone, experiencing delays with their delivery date. I was informed car would be built week commencing 9th Jan with a view I would have it by the end of the Jan.

The car came off the production line on schedule the 11th Jan all good then and seemed on course. However since then it keeps slipping back, its at the European Port of Exit and was informed last week it would be here 1st week in Feb, now I have been informed last week in Feb. Not sure why there is such a delay now and what is causing it, did expect transporting to be the hurdle.

Is anyone else suffering the same or knows why its constantly being pushed back...so close yet so far.

Very odd to me. Have you checked with bmw genius on its status?

Sounds crap mate, however it may mean you get a 17 plate?!

If it pushes back further than you think acceptable, pull the order and buy somewhere else, or at least threaten to with no bluffing, you're the paying customer they should be doing all they can to assist.

If you aren't willing to pull the order demand a courtesy/loan car if same spec until yours arrives.

Does seem strange and I would be checking the car very carefully at delivery for any additional "manufacturing" post factory

Another possible but probably unlikely is port availability, shipping has a bit of a wobbly around now due to the Chinese New Year

Yeah its them that are informing me of the status. I have tracked it since 9th Jan. All was well at the start up, however has derailed ever so slightly and now getting slightly hacked off as it will be delayed almost 4 weeks for transport issues.

The Dealer "days" last week it was scheduled for 2nd Week in Feb, 2 week delay. Genius says its now scheduled today for end of Feb....I'm not happy as it keeps slipping and is beginning to limit my options if I bail out and try find another 430 XDrive before 1st April (tax hike)

How often do they sail? Maybe they're holding the boat back to put some delayed x40s on it?
