Show us your E9x phone mounting solutions
Interested to see what use are using for mounting your phones in the car. I have saw a lot of these magnet type phone mounts being used which look to be by far the tidiest looking option but not sure if these are safe for the phone screens etc ?
I'm using iPhone 7 plus which actually fits in the ashtray quiet well when on its side but would prefer something that I could have the phone upright.

These are awesome, we've got loads of them! When I had my E90 I had one in each centre vent with an iPad Mini mounted to them, gave me a permanent in car iPad so Spotify could take up all the memory! You just pop the magnetic plate part in between your phone & the case (If you use one) I probably wouldn't choose these if you don't use a case as you'd have to then use the sticky pad to stick it to your phone which would look a bit naff. They are great though, never falls off and they're perfectly safe for your phone. We both use iPhone 7's and never had an issue with them or the iPad which only ever comes off if we park in town or somewhere that there's a risk of it being nicked. |

I've used this system in several cars including the current 320i and my SLK. Very versatile, they offer mounts for virtually any car you can think of and they hold the phone very securely. It may not be the cheapest option but if you want to safeguard your £600 plus iPhone it's a no contest. First post on the forums, thank you for your attention, and patience. |

I had a Clingo Vent mount but found that it didnt fit well to the e90 vent so I made a clip on my 3D printer and a new mount for the Clingo. It grips onto the edges of the two vents on the centre console
Very pleased with it and you can barely see it with the mount removed. BTW I didnt design the clip, it was on Thingiverse Last edited by BM007; 01-20-2017 at 05:44 AM.. |

The phone holder is adjustable but with todays very slim phones it's best to use a minimal case on the phone for better grip and protection. That said, on occasion i've put the naked iPhone 6s in without any problems. |

I use a Belkin Universal Car Mount for my phone (OnePlus 2). It's ideal for mounting to the windscreen as I use Waze a lot so it can be mounted at the right height and distance, for me.
Belkin Universal Mount I also use a Kenu Airframe mount for my iPod. Kenu Airframe |

So just all the ones fitted by manufacturers? ha.
I use an aesthetically shit but functional mount like this to place it in the bottom right of the windscreen, doesn't really block anything but is always in eye line for sat nav. |

I bought an Kenu airframe after seeing it recommended on here. Under hard acceleration the phone and holder disappear into the rear seat. Pointless if you have a quick model.
