Picking up my M2!

I'm picking up my M2 tomorrow but it is my first time buying a new car! Anyone have any advice on things to check the car for? Anything I should make sure it has/or anything I should ask for?

Congrats! You're gonna love it.

Check the odometer when you start it up for the first time and see how many miles the PDI used up.

Some forum members mentioned adding the numbers up yourself on the invoice to make sure they're not adding a few hundred bucks here and there.

Warranty is personal choice. I got the extended warranty and maintenance without the tire package because I plan to keep the car for a while. And you can probably negotiate what options you want in the warranty packages.

If your state doesn't require a front plate I would recommend not getting it drilled!

Just a few things I can think of right now.

Awesome! that really helps, unfortunately I have to get a front plate it sucks. Did you get a discount off the extended warranty/maintenance?

I got AW! I would have gotten LBB if I could've seen it in person I think, wasn't sure about the turquoise look that people said it had

I was team LBB until i went to the dc auto show and i changed my mind.

immediately. lol

I had 12 miles on delivery, I would just advise to cover the things that will allow you to drive the car worry free, like covering wheels/tires, i bought into their old maintenance plan (where you get some wear & tire items and fluids replaced for free), and got suckered into xpel also because the price if i bundled it in was $1100. if they have a Genius on site ask for them to show you a tutorial on the car and all the gadgets etc.

but all of these things were cool because i now drive semi worry free, and after tomorrow i will be even more so.

This was my first purchase too, and these are the things that stood out the most for me. enjoy neighbor! haha

Also, I specifically asked to not get my front bumper holes punched out from my dealer. Im doing the quick release lightweight tow hook plate from US mill works. cost about $150 but i dont like the plate brackets being in the center of the car. It may be too late for you if you are doing PDI today but you still have a choice!!

I was going to install when i got to my parents for the holidays, for now its sitting in the trunk

One of the first things I requested was to make sure no holes are drilled into the front bumper.

Take a lot of photos. These are special experiences that you want to document for future enjoyment. Enjoy the delivery!

I'm jealous. Enjoy the car and drive it the way it was meant to be driven
