How much did you paid for your M2, which dealer, above or at MSRP

Hi everyone.
Not sure if there is a thread here yet (apologies if there is an existing thread). Would like to find out everyone's M2 buying experience:

- Year of M2
- Paid MSRP or above MSRP.
- If above MSRP, how much.
- Which dealer
- Were you on a waitlist or walk-in saw in showroom & purchased

Thank you all in advance.

M2 buying experience

I'll start...

I was in the market to trade in my existing 2015 M4 for something smaller. Looked at M240 and prepared to trade.

Next day, my dealer notified me that a M2 buyer was unable to complete the transaction and asked if I was interested.

I paid $2k over sticker. Also added maintenance contract, GAP.

Irvine BMW, great experience. Still in shock that I was able to buy a M2.

Thanks for allowing me share.

Would like to hear everyone in the forum's M2 buying experience.

Thanks again.

Visiting sister out of state. She is getting her BMW serviced, I go along to look at dealership. Didn't expect to see an M2. Big red bow on showroom floor, Dec.8. (Had refundable deposit at home dealership).

Car was ordered, original buyer had backed out literally an hour before.

Went to lunch thought it over and talked to home dealership and then pulled trigger.

Paid MSRP (-$500 for BMWCCA) but near full price on extended service/warranty and some M performance cosmetic pieces.

Ate the plane ticket back home. Drove it home (300 miles) at 2:30. I feel very fortunate

MSRP - BMW of Chattanooga
Was on local wait list (#1) when I heard of the allocation at BMW of Chattanooga. Called them and confirmed MSRP. Left two VM's for my local CA to check his status. Never heard from him (still haven't!!). Confirmed order with BMW of C. They e-mailed the buyers order confirming the price along with a deposit form. E-mailed it back and had production # within the hour - week 7 build. Very easy to deal with - will probably do PCD so may never actually meet my CA face to face!- $500 rebate from BMWCCA forthcoming.

Paid MSRP.

In July 2016 I called bmw of bel air (Maryland) to see if they had an M2 in the showroom. They said no, but sales man took my name and number and he said he would call me if they ever got one in. I had no idea I was on a wait list.

Salesman called in September and said they had an allocation. I asked if there was a markup, he said no. I said how fast can you take my money... Lol.

Car should be in Baltimore Port tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I don't think I was number 1 on the wait list but I was the first to return the salesman call.

2k below sticker including fleet discount and accidental 500 rebate advertised by BMW that they honored for me.

2016. Was number one on their list. Picked up at the performance center in April.

If it makes you feel better the same dealer sold my slot for a 1m out from under me a few years back. I put an order in for an M2 in spring of 2015 before it was even official that they were going to make one. I gave the dealer 1k deposit and had them write it up at MSRP and designated first allocation.

2017 MG w/ executive and CarPlay, 6spd

I ordered in late august and picked it up this last weekend.

The dealer threw in Care+ or whatever they call it for the pads/clutch/wipers etc... for the duration of the basic package (3 years i think?)

$1000 below MSRP due to USAA rebate.

BMW of Fort Myers, great guys!

MSRP Paid

Well I hope I'm not jumping the gun by posting don't have the car yet but I do have a production number. LBB MT w/carplay only. Deal is at MSRP. This dealership is one of the good ones, no market adjustments etc. they just don't do that kind of stuff. Gonna add pedals, black front and side grills as port install so that's about $1K extra. I'm a long term BMWCCA member so I guess I will get that $500 check after I get the car and fill in the paper work.

I think you did just fine. In the grand scheme of things going over MSRP may sting at first but the pain will fade as the joy of the car builds. Realize too it is far more likely that people getting MSRP or better will post on this thread more readily than someone who paid 10k over....you did better than plenty of folks

Originally I was very deep on the list at BMW of Fairfax. I didn't move at all for 6 months so I called BMW of Rockville. Salesperson there has sold me two M3's in the past and had an allocation available.
Placed the order mid September and picked up the car at PCD December 4.
Paid MSRP.
