Car sitting outside at the Port in the Snow
So it just occured to me that while my car waits to get on a ship it's probably waiting outside most definitely getting rained on or even a nice dose of snow!
It's all good, but does anyone else feel this anxiety? I used to live in Michigan, but now live in California. I always cherish my cars that "have never seen winter." Technically this car will have seen a little bit. Anyone have a story of their brand new car stuck at port in a snow storm either overseas or stateside? So the guys gotta move these things onto a ship, getting their dirty shoes in there! Argh! The things you think about when getting a "new" car. (Stock photo, not really Bremerhaven) |

No snow, per se, but serious weather to be sure. My M2 was on the Tirranna last month. We were delayed a few days as the boat sat in Panama waiting for Hurricane Otto to pass overhead! There was no avoiding it. it literally ran right over the top of it.

I'm not sure what the concern is in having the car being rained or just sitting in snow waiting for shipment (not same as driving on salted roads). I am pretty sure it will not melt or anything. Just me happy to receive this marvelous car and be assured that you will not be disappointed.

Mine was in Georgia during Hurricane Matthew. I like to think it was inside getting parts installed when they shut down the port. Either way, I didn't notice any issues with the paint or damage or anything like that.
