Classic Orange vs Sport White

So I disconnected the battery this morning to fit my Awron race display. When I collected the car the dashboard switches where the Classic BMW orange. However after reconnecting the battery they are now the Sport white

Now I know there is an option in the iDrive to change the interior light (footwell lights, etc) from Classic to Sport but this has no effect on the dashboard colour. Does anyone know how I change it back? Is it something that can only be done via coding?

My car goes through three modes:

- Daytime: Sport White

- Dusk/Dawn: Classic Orange on dials and Sport White on the rest

- Nighttime: Classic Orange

EDIT: I noticed that in the first pic your lights are on and in the second they are off. My dial only turns classic orange once the lights are on.

Yup, you're right. As soon as it was dark it changed back to Orange

Thinking about is a little more the lights have been left on Auto. The weather has been pretty crappy and overcast in England the last week. I suspect they were on all last weekend.

It sure is trying, but this low light is a major issue that's been discussed at length in another (on-going) thread.

Yeah I thought it does light up white from what OP said which would help mitigate that horrible design flaw.
