E90 325d cuts off at 3500 rpm
I have a E90 325d 2007. Lately it has started to cut ( I mean shut down and barely manage to keep the engine going)
It happens if i have somewhere between 50-100% throttle, and are going past 3300/3500 rpm When it happens i have to swith ignition on and off to manage to driver further. I use a Delphi diagnostic tool and found the following fault codes 3FC0 - Airflowsensor 3FF1 - Airflowsensor 438D - Throttle Actuator 4212 Glow plug 1 4232 Glow plug 2 4242 Glowplug 4 49A2 Weak AC cooling 426E Intelligent Battery sensor 3FC0 - Airflowsensor - I have tried 2 different sensors, same fault 3FF1 - Airflowsensor - I have tried 2 different sensors, same fault 438D - Throttle Actuator - Seems to be working fine, have also disconnected it, and it doesnt affect the cutting at all 4212 Glow plug 1 Guess these are just for starting anyway 4232 Glow plug 2 Guess these are just for starting anyway 4242 Glowplug 4 Guess these are just for starting anyway 49A2 Weak AC cooling - Dont have GAS on the AC system 426E Intelligent Battery sensor - Anyone experienced anything similiar? The car is btw tuned to abt 250 hp, but it behaves exactly the same with or without the tuned map |

So, how old is you battery? I've seen these cars throw all kinds of codes when the battery is on its last legs or was replaced and not registered properly. I see you have a 426E which could indicate a bad battery which would wreak havoc on everything else. Or your IBS which controls charging could be bad.

To clear the 3FC0 and probably the 3FF1; you need to reset MAF adaptions in Rheingold.
I had the 3FC0 fault after cleaning my MAF. From memory there may also be a throttle actuator adaption as well. Rheingold will give test programs to help identify and resolve these issues. |
