Extremely Loud Gong Sound

Right now I currently drive an 06' 330i. I was finally able to install a new HU from an 08' 328i. I coded the HU so that I could have the gong that post 08' cars have (change the value HU_VERBAUT_C08 to radiostufe_3_4) and it worked, but the gong sound is ear bleeding loud. I know what the gong is supposed to sound like and this sound is at least 5x as loud. I have the setting down to -5, but the sound won't lower. I've heard that people get this problem when installing an amp in their E90's, but I never saw a clear solution.

Any ideas?

You need to code the stereo to Hifi by adding $676
if I remember correctly.

How would I go about doing that?

I just started using NCS so I'm not really familiar with the controls...

I was able to fix it by just default coding the radio module in NCS. Don't remember that clearly as it was a few years ago. After the default coding, it worked just fine and I was able to adjust the gong volume via the head unit.
