CIC issues after disconnecting battery

Hello,

I'm after some advice on my 2008 320d with CIC retrofitted. All has been fine until I disconnected the battery while I changed the glow plugs and upon refitting the battery I noticed that the iDrive screen didn't come on and the stereo part was not responding. After a few minutes the stereo came on but only radio, no screen and no response from controller. The stereo in the dash will change channels. The PDC doesn't function too and strangely the stereo has a life of its own and doesn't turn off when the key is taken from the car?!?!

I have read the errors using INPA and nothing is thrown up but I can't communicate with the CIC module.

The CIC fuse is fine as the rear boot lights work.

Any ideas?

Thanks, I'll go and have a look now. I have heard it can be a problem with the MOST loop so I'll try that too.

OK, thanks for the responses.

@makkan00, could you possibly give me a steer as where to look using INPA? I haven't got a working version of DIS but I know that INPA works.

Thanks

Just a follow up incase anyone else has this issue. I managed to pull all the power cables for CIC screen and look for a 12v supply. I believe that during this the power was disconnected long enough for it to reset. When I put it back together after 10 mins or so the BMW logo appeared and we are back in business!!!

Thanks again
