E90 330d differential input flange nut torque setting

Anyone know the torque setting for the nut on the differential input flange? Want to get preloading of bearing and crush collar set right.... its an e90 330d.

Thanks

Are you referring to the part that attaches to the drive shaft?

He mentioned preload of bearing and crush collar. So greek, I don't think so. there is that other larger nut that has many faces on it. See the picture with labels.

Hmmm. Then he must be referring to the rear differential bolt/nut. There are 3 total (2 front) from what I remember.

I'll see if my Bentley manual has a spec for it. The E90 manual doesn't cover the 335D though. It has the large diff case versus the smaller 188. I could try to see if the 2.56 ratio diff used with the M3 DCT trans is covered as it also uses the larger 215 case.

You might reach out to Harold at HP Autosport for this spec. His company has lots of experience changing these diffs over to Quaife and Wavetrak LSDs.
