JB4 on mppk
Anyone has JB4 on a F30/F32/F36 model 335/435 with mppk (m power package) since a little while?
I'm wondering if it's worth it and if it's safe. Also wondering it it affects the loud exhaust burbles (which I love). Thanks! |

Also was questioning this but my guy at BMW who swears by jb4 and a guy at burger both said burble would not be affected and would be much louder with a catless downpipe

I had that combo(ppk and Jb4) on my e90. The burbles remain and the JB4 overrides the ppk as far as power delivery. I missed the burbles on my f30 and that is why I added the DP..now I have burbles just like the Mppk.

What hp would you be looking at with jb4 er catless downpipe and BMs intake with mppk. I'm guessing around 370-380hp ? Wondering whether it's better to get a jb4 with the above or the above with an ecu tune instead of jb4.

You have a DP so you should hear it--it's my favorite part of having a DP. In comfort or sport put in manual mode and rev up to about 4k and let off gas and you will hear little pops. Like...pop pop pop pop.

That is one of the main reasons I got a DP. I had PPK on my e90 and I loved the downshift burbles, so when I got my F30 I knew I would just go to JB4 and figured the easiest way to get that sound back was a DP.

Sound will not change, use the JB4 on ma5 so it can autotune and stay within safe limits
