6 M2's at Buttonwillow this weekend

It's an M2 invasion!!
3 LBB, 2 AW, 1 MG
No love for Black Saphire.

The M2's look and sound great in person.
They also perform very well on the track, I think they are overall faster than stock M3 / M4's around here.

The white car belongs to one of the fastest instructor on the west coast.
I am sure he knows what he's doing in terms of setup, but I was a little surprised to see that he's running a slight staggered setup with 265F and 275R

I am not sure if his wheels are square or not, but I would not want to sacrifice the ability to rotate the tires front to back for 10 extra mm of rubber in the back.

Plus, I personally prefer to dial all the under-steer out and not run any stagger at all.
I think 275 all around is possible with enough camber up front.

I really couldn't tell you. Not sure any of them were running timing. Most were instructor cars. But my best guesstimate is that the M2 stock for sock is 3-4 seconds faster than my M235 with tires only.

I didn't have a particularly good weekend as I struggled with lack of traction at turn 2 (off Ramp corner) due to the lack of LSD.

I also I had never run this config 13 (I am used to running the longer config with Star Mazda) and really struggled with under steer and not being happy with either the 1 apex or 2 apex lines through the sweeper corner 10.

My best lap of the weekend was a 2.12.4
So again, my guesstimate for an average A student in an M2 to be able to run 2.08 maybe, and maybe as low as a 2.05 for a very fast driver with proper rubber and camber.
