First off the car isn't stock, the seatbelts and airbags are gone along with a lot of other systems. BMW NA provided a new car flash updating the software and eliminating the removed systems.

But airbag and seatbelt lights aren't eliminated as they aren't line items in the option information section of the car's Warranty Vehicle Inquiry form they pulled. For some reason TPMS was removed from the software (or whatever it's called) but the error light wasn't eliminated, nobody seems to know why.

The car's going back into the shop this winter to finish the roll cage and the SRS module will be completely removed along with the passenger side airbag once the dash comes out.

With the SRS module out how would the airbag and seatbelt light be coded off? Or would they not even light once the module is physically removed?

Don't know a local coder to the DFW area who could remove these warning lights but any recommendations would be welcome.

FYI, the car is now further modified with the complete removal of the SRS module and associated wiring as the rest of the eight point cage is being fitted. So this old post, which I'd forgotten about, is no longer relevant. Thanks for taking time to respond though, sorry about that.
