Dealers that never charge over MSRP.

I am sure this has been discussed before but does anybody have a list of dealerships that never charge over MSRP even for their low allocation cars such as the M2.

It 'd be super helpful if someone could point me to a thread if it already exists.

If you haven't seen it, there's a naughty list of dealers who do charge over MSRP. It's anecdotal and not exhaustive, but should give you a place to start searching for the good ones by crossing off the bad ones.

It is my understanding that Penske dealers don't charge over MSRP. I was told this by a sales guy so not entirely sure its true but I believe it is.

I'll end this rumor now before it spreads. This is completely false. Crevier BMW is a Penske dealer and charges well over MSRP. Essentially they will tack on a carbon piece somewhere and justify a $10-$15k markup.

BMW of Cincinnati North sold multiple M2s and M4 GTS at MSRP. I am acquaintances with the GM and he strongly dislikes selling over MSRP. I have used the SA Jason Maudlin before with good success.

This I can attest to as well. I have spoken to Jason Maudlin and he's confirmed the same. I just wanted a list so I can get on more lists.

Yup. BMW of San Diego is also a Penske dealer and they have no problem marking their cars up 10K - 15K.

Most USA dealers have priced their M2's at MSRP. This is different than them having a policy to never sell a car above MSRP.

I went to a Penske dealer and was advised that their network of dealers never charge over MSRP.

Which Penske dealership did you go to ??. the 2 West Coast Penske dealers I called said they do a market adjustment on some of their rarer cars.

I was really looking at dealerships that have a policy to never sell a car above MSRP. I basically want to know what dealerships I need to get on a list for, for a car such as the BMW M2 CS/CSL.

SF BMW has an M4 GTS for 200K over MSRP. My local dealer said they got just one and they sold it for 40K over MSRP. When the time comes, basically I don't want to be paying over MSRP.

Why don't you just get on a list and add language to the effect of "deal will be at MSRP or better" I've done that in the past. Currently have RS3 and M2 GC deposits down with just that language.

Sorry to hear that, I will have a chat with the gentleman at BMW North Scottsdale who told me this next time I see him. He told me they had a corporate policy forbidding such behavior.

there's ''dealer says'' and there's internet. what amazes me is people that work at dealers still live in their own world that's not connected to the world or internet. what they say & do will be quickly discussed over the net that makes themselves look stupid.

anyway, what u said is not true (no pound intended though). i can't prove Penske Group has internal policy saying they don't charge over MSRP. but their network of dealers def ask for over MSRP for their cars. been there seen that. that's for Mercedes & Porsche dealer i know. sometime though, it's just way of playing the game. if they say they don't charge over for ''new'' car, they can easily turn it into ''pre-own'' inventory to charge over. it's just part of the game.

I guess I got off lucky then. I also got $1,500 off my M2 because my employer had a corporate discount for BMWs.
