Dinan Resonator Delete Pipe Installed

So I installed the Dinan Resonator delete pipe this weekend. I really only wanted a little more sound from the stock system. And this part basically delivers. There is a slight increase in sound but not much. The burbles are definitely more noticeable and maybe last a little longer. The install was pretty straight forward. Make two cuts and install the pipe. Probably took about 45 minutes total. Would have been nice if there was a Dinan logo on the pipe but oh well. Take a listen....

OEM

Why do you say "basically" delivers?

I guess I say basically because for $250 I wish it was a little louder under acceleration. Don't get me wrong I definitely notice a difference, especially on cold start up. But in reality this is a basic piece of pipe that probably costs Dinan maybe $50 to manufacture and that is being generous. I understand R&D and all that jazz. But if it was say $150 I would feel it would be way more worthwhile. I am still happy with it and would recommend it though

I did this mod a few weeks ago on my 235. Cold starts are really awesome and burbles are more noticeable. If you really step on the throttle, there's a definite increase in volume over OEM.

For pics, I think there's a PDF install on the Dinan site, but not 100% sure. I THINK I saw it there.

Oh...and no obvious drone either.

I did not take any pics, sorry. But this is from Dinan's site, with their muffler section installed as well.

I am thinking of going this route as well in the future. Are you running a tune also or O2 sim? I have the JB+ right now and really like it for the money.

Yup the DP will do so much for sound already and best bang for the buck since you're freeing up flow and proven WHP/WTQ gain with or without tune.

No right now I'm just dealing with the CEL. Jb+ sounds really good for the money and I've been considering it, but I'm probably going to go with the full jb4 soon. I want to run the car on e30 Mix but the mixed reviews about some running good and others not so good have been holding me back.

Personally I would go with the O2 Sim and the JB+. Not as much power as the JB4 but much cheaper and easier to install.

twin fed

I have JB4 on the X4 M40i and my 2 friends have JB4 w/ Meth on their M2.
Long story short, the JB4 is not working out as we thought it would or were promised.
The gains on 93 octane is a joke on a stock car, add a DP that frees up some power.
The gains I see mostly is with e85 though; waiting to see what a proper flash will gain

Working something out with 2 local tuners for proTUNING Freaks / BM3 btw
