RICHTER 4" sport cat 200 cell BMW M2

Has anyone tested or got one of these? I'm curious to know if it will throw a CEL code and if it would be ok to run without a tune. It's about £400 cheaper than fabspeed and available in the U.K.

Cheers

catless will cause CEL - fit one of these to the 2nd 02 sensor port for a £12 fix to get around CEL, without a tune....

Never heard of it but what makes Fabspeed superior is the HJS cats ... If downpipe does not use the HJS cats, it will prbably throw a CEL light

That being said, you can get any downpipe you like and just use the VRSF CEL Fix

Thanks for the info. The main reason I want to go with the Richter is because I can get it in the Uk. I would pay the extra for the Fabspeed but I would then need to pay Uk tax and VAT on top and that would make it way to expensive.

If it has the HJS cats and you can find it in the UK you should go for it

Miltek use HJS hi flo cats in their DP's for N55 incl M2.

http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust....variantid=1544

UK M2 owner has DP upgrade fitted with full Milltek cat back exhaust

Hey Mike, not yet wanted to try without messing around with wires but it looks like it's either try your cel delete or by jb4. Was going with the jb4 route but at $500 Bucks it seems it's not giving much in performance as of now.

We offer both, i recommend you give either one a shot before looking for a new downpipe

No guarantees but for £12 it might be worth a try as only sure fire work around is OBD plugin code clearer, JB4 or remap - much more cash

What's with the 2 stages? Are there 2 cats or is it 2 in one?

Nope that won't do a damn thing. Wasted money and time all that thing does is takes space in your car. Bought it and 80 miles later CEL! Don't waste your money

I noticed such incorrect info floating around from time to time, a clear indication of the "preacher's" lack of basic understanding of cell counts.

CPSI = cells per square inch, a density unit of measurement. You put a hundred 100-cell cats one after another and you end up with a ridiculously long 100-cell system.

Of course it'd be great if you want to share the source of your info regardless of how it's fundamentally wrong. And if you do have the pictures of the eye opening 1000-cell cat said to be found on B58, please do share too.

I've been assures that no CEL will be thrown. It's tried and tested on the m235i

I thought only catless throws a CEL?
