Ordered this Saturday, Delivery Week 2 Jan 17. :)

Just happened to walk into a dealer who had a customer drop out of an M2 build slot in the week before I walked in. It was a configurable slot, too, so to my spec.

Because I know you'll ask which options:

Options
  • Mineral Grey
  • Black Dakota leather with blue stitching
  • Seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) w/ DRIVELOGIC
  • Comfort Access
  • Exterior Mirrors - folding with anti-dazzle
  • Elec Fr Seats + Driver Memory
  • Through-loading system
  • Seat heating, front
  • Harman Kardon - Hi-Fi

Folding Seats. It's an option. Nobody knows why it's not standard, especially a colleague of mine who has an F10 he ordered without it. No practicality for him!

How do you know delivery week with all the variable timing involved?

It's a December delivery slot, however, that has now changed to 2nd week of Jan. This was a slot that had already been allocated, I assume some time ago, to a customer and they backed out a couple of days before I waltzed in.

It's BMW Park Lane, so it's BMW Group direct in reality, so "dealer" allocation is likely quite different.

Enjoy !

I'm hearing this more regularly now. They seem to be more widely available than a few months ago.It seems some people have just ordered to put them on Auto trader in the hope they can make a quick few quid

I expect so and maybe some of these "prospectors" are backing out. The dealer was pleased that I'm an enthusiast, as opposed to a scalper. I think they've had a lot of those as they cannot charge over the published price and must sell at face value.
