AG M359

Im new to this site and would like to ask a few questions.

Im planning on getting the AG M359 for my 2008 3 Series. My car currently has the stock 205/55/16Im thinking of getting the 18x8.5. My questions are:

1. What is the recommended tire size? 225/40? 235/40?
2. Do I really need to have staggered wheels or is that just preference?
3. Do I need to lower the car and/or change springs? or is that for looks?

Looking forward to your replies. Thank you!

1. 225/40 would fit with a very slight stretch on an 8.5 width wheel. 235/40 would also fit nicely!

2. Staggered setup is not necessary, but it does allow you to run wider wheels in the rear as the room up front is limited. Tire rotation is not possible on a staggered setup.

3. You do not need to lower the car, but it does help with handling and improves the car aesthetically!

Thanks for the reply andrew@supremepower.

I will go with the 235/40/18 front for sure but im debating whether I should go wide in the rear. If I do, should it be 18x9.5 with 255/40/18? Or 265/35/18? What would be the main reason why some would go with 35/18 rear tires compared to just going 40/18 all around?

The reason for going 35/18 over 40/18 is the lower aspect ratio. With a shorter sidewall, you can have more room to fit the tire if you are lowered. If however you are not lowered and wish to fill in more of the wheel gap, 40/18 will work fine.

PMed you by the way
