Would you get it again?

Is dirt a major problem? as is it s simple leather clean job

i ask as i really don't wan't a black interior and i don't like the red interior in the 4 series as half the dash is red also which IMO is and saddle brown is also

I have Oyster on the 330e and looking good so far, thought that's only 3 months or so. I treated with GTechniq leather guard when new and then give them a spray and wipe once a month. Takes a couple of minutes. If you're prepared to do that then you'll be fine.

The wife's old mini had the same interior and we did the same and it looked brand new still when we sold it at 2 years old.

Mine when I first picked it up on 1st Sept. Oyster with dark oyster piping. Hex alloy (changed to carbon now) with gloss black finishers (435d).

It does get dirty quite quickly but I carry a packet of leather wipes in the car and give my seat a wipe once a week. Comes off easily. All seats get minging but I guess you see it more on light colours. Hate to think what scum and muck there actually is on black seats as most wont clean it regularly cos they cant see it!

I think Oyster is a nice contrasting colour and it keeps the cabin airy and light.

Pics not as good as HV's, but couple of close ups of mine in my post below. Note also Oyster lower half of dash. Coupled with brushed aluminium with pearl chrome:

I have ivory leather. 1 year old. Treated with Dr Leather Dye guard when new and wipe with Dr Leather wipes every other week or so and it still looks like the day I bought it. Would not hesitate to chose it again.

Totally agree with your views on Coral and Saddle...

Why thank you! No, kept trying for full frontal, but could never get lighting or angle right. I think the angle of your pic was better. Will try to replicate tomorrow.

I think you should go for Saddle Brown, great for covering dirt, especially if you shit yourself!

Just noticed that you live in Manchester.
You can come and look at my Oyster interior with pleasure.
And yes, I would get Oyster again.

Got Oyster leather on my F31 and it's still looking fine after 2 years and 31k miles; no protection applied from new but a rub over with Dr Leather wipes every couple of weeks or so seems to do the trick!

Obviously it's each to their own where colour combinations are concerned but I'd be more than happy to choose Oyster again; lifts the cabin and looks classier than black IMO. I know coral has its fans but it's not for me I'm afraid; however, depending on exterior colour saddle could be a decent option though....

What about the pale seat belts though? Do they not get manky in short order?

No.
Oyster is a great colour. Obviously not as light as some cream coloured interiors available from some manufacturers.
I find black interiors especially with a black headlining more than a bit oppressive.

This was the best I could do from the rear, gives you an idea at least.

My oyster seats all look excellent after just under 2 years. Makes the car nice and light inside. Cleans easily enough. I would get it again.

Looks fantastic, really lifts the interior and a change from the rather oppressive & ubiquitous black-with-a-hint-of-noir colourscheme. That said I think the lighter coloured exterior shades do need a darker colour of leather - Oyster would look cack with AW for instance.

Pretty much identical to mine, dying to see what it looks like with the EB
