Los Angeles differential rebuild shop?
Hello e90post members,
I posted this on bimmerforums, thought I'd check here as well. I've got an '06 e90 330i and the rear of the car has been making a humming/whining sound that is dependent on the speed (gets louder and faster the faster I go). At the last oil change, the mechanic told me it's the differential that's gone bad. I'm inclined to get a second opinion to see if it's not something with the wheel bearings but in case it is the diff, does anyone know a good shop that can rebuild differentials? I'm leaning towards a rebuild because I hear this part is faulty and will fail if I bought an OEM part, new or used. |

Hoopers is pretty well known and well regarded. I've dealt with them before. I haven't dealt with Toy Shops before.
Both shops are on Yelp, if you're into that. |

Unitrax in Anaheim performed LSD installs for a few folks here.
