Fake Exhaust Leak
Got a funny one for this morning...
So about 2 weeks ago I swapped my dp back to stock temporarily. I knew it would only be on there for a couple weeks so I wasn't too worried about getting it 100% perfect. Also there was a storm rolling in, the wind was howling and rain had started to fall. Anyways I finished up, and started the car up, backed down the ramp, and listened for a leak. I didn't hear anything. Later that day I started to notice a small hum that sounded like an exhaust leak. The strange thing was it was only audible at low speeds like 5 mph, and it didn't get any louder with the windows open. At this point I also was having issues with one of the subs under my driver seat. Any music with bass would distort at low volume. I also did not think my car had active sound. For some reason I though after a certain date they were manufactured without asd. Anyways, one day it finally hit me. The active sound with a blown subwoofer was the issue! |

HA! LMAO!
Disabling ASD is the first thing I plan on doing when I get the car in my driveway. If I wanted fake car noise, I'd play Need For Speed! Once I get the car, I plan on trying to code it out. If I can't, I'll just yank the plug!
