340i K&N Filter

Looks like K&N finally made a reusable filter for the 340:

http://www.knfilters.com/air_filter/bmw_340i.aspx

I used a KN filter in a W204 C300 and the airbox looked like someone took a crap in it so I probably wont be using a oiled filter for my 340i, maybe I used too much oil who knows but I'm holding off for a better looking intake than the BMS one or a dry drop in filter.

I think it sounds better but it could be in my head esp since Ive been playing around with Active Sound as well..
as far as horses.. prob too lil to be noticed but I could prob say the same for most "more expensive" intakes as well..I'm not paying $200+ for slight bit more airflow than what K&N would give

fair enough, i guess it pays for itself after two air filters

Yep the main reason for me is that
secondary is to increase some airflow and improve the sound a bit
beyond that its diminishing returns imo
