hello all

I have an f30 with 6wa extended display for some reason it's not showing the navigation route details on the Instrument cluster anymore ie rounabouts etc..

I'm talking about this screen:


I think somehow turned it off, I've checked the settings under Instrument cluster Navigation is ticked to displayed but not showing

I've found the same on mine (iDrive 5.0) even though Nav details are ticked in the iDrive settings. Not too much of a problem as they still appear in HUD, but I think they should still appear here as well (as Speed Limit Display does).

have you gone through different screens that you can change by BC button on the stalk?

Hi,

I don't have a HUD so this was very cool to see the lanes etc.

Yes I have gone through all the different screens using the BC button, I can see time of arrival, miles to destination and the usual stuff mpg date etc....

Usually when you just leave it on any screen it should wait 5-10 seconds and show the route arrow etc but I have tried every single thing I could think of and wont display route info

If you have HuD then nav in the black panel is disabled I believe. Mine had HuD and wasn't in the panel.

Don't know about the 3 Series, but in the 5 Series/7 Series etc, the nav directions can be displayed both in the HUD and the dashboard.

Not in 3 series, if you select in HUD settings to shows directions it turns them off in the cluster.

if you have navigation enabled in the HUD then it is disabled in the Kombi, however if you disable it in the HUD it is available in the Kombi

You must be able to code it to both places at once I would have thought, but there isn't really a requirement, doubt anyone has tried.

Did you guys figure this out? Also have ID5 and only have Navi in HUD, the nav option isn’t even there for the KOMBI. EVEN if I remove it from HUD, nothing happens. So odd. I had it in both in my M3 F80, now gone in the F86.

I have the same problem without hud. I think hud is enabled in codes but it doesnt even exist on my car.

Hi, Thanks for reply & pic, my display does look like the pic,but your pic does not show the rectangle at low level incorporating the Eco Gauge. Does yours grey out when lights switched off?

I have the Black Panel display without HUD and the centre panel [between the dials] shows the direction of travel arrow and motorway lanes when additional lane keeping information is required.

The sat nav map is shown on the central display.

When I turn my headlights off, there is a contrast difference between the main dashboard [where the dials are] and the black panel, obviously because the black panel is a LED display and backlit whereas the main dashboard is edge lit.

The black panel shows the useless eco information - just wish it showed something useful like track information.

It's been this way since I bought the car two years ago and to be honest I've not experienced any problems
