Smile Production # and week confirmed!

Hi all!

I've been fortunate to land an allocation that is slated for week 45 production.

[strike]What kind of production length have others been seeing? 4 weeks?[/strike]

Edit: Of course I see this thread:

Thanks!
Nate

Week 45, did your CA estimate when it will arrive at the dealership?

I was told Week 45 is the completion date so that nails it at 1st week of Nov. I wanted to confirm with the OP to see what his CA said.

BMW Genius expects this timeline:

1 week at port in Germany
1 week shipping at sea (maybe longer depending on which port it is arriving at)
1 week at port in US

I got my allocation on the east coast at York BMW so my port is NYC. We're expecting the delivery to be end of Nov/1st week of Dec.

TucErDoc I know you got yours with Sterling BMW so I assume it's the same port....and probably shipmates

I'm in the week 45 club as well. Dealer is in DC/Baltimore area. Crossing fingers for a early/mid December delivery - at least before Xmas!

Toastie you got your car! Good job. Can't believe no one was on the sterling list

Edit- I'm week 46 and getting a good chunk of m perf parts installed at port so that may delay me to Christmas or after. It doesn't matter to me since it's dead in the middle of winter 😅

I got mine from Sterling, too (week 40). They seemed to have gotten quite a few this round.

Yeah!!! BMW Sterling only had 3 allocations and my CA was too slow to submit my deposit so I lost out.

I haven't confirmed this but the CA's said they're one of the highest volume dealers on the East coast so they will have more allocations. October allocations are approaching so if any of you still want one I'd reach out and get your name & deposit down.

Aren't allocations given out quarterly? Meaning Oct/Nov/Dec have already been doled out. The whole process is confusing to me.

I think they phase them per month. The Oct/Nov/Dec I think is expected production/delivery. My allocation was a Sept but Nov build.

I also got my allocation from Sterling. What's crazy to me is that they didn't have a wait list... I called the morning after the allocations were released put my money down and they gave me an allocation.
