Coding changes not working

Hi there,

I am trying to change my radio frequency from Japan to Europe so that I can receive the normal frequencies here in NZ. I installed BMW Coding Tools as per the DIY on here (thanks a lot for this!), and everything seems to work correctly - I am trying to adjust the following:

CHOST
-------------------------------------------

LAENDERVARIANTE_GT
from "japan" to "ece"

CTUNE
-------------------------------------------

RDS_AF_FUNKTION_CCC
set to "rds_ein_af_automatisch"

LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER_ANT
from "japan" to "ece"

CAPPL
-----------------------------------------

LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER
from "japan" to "ece"

The problem is that the changes just don't seem to stick. When I read the modules again, the values are back to the original as if nothing happened. Any help is hugely appreciated.

F.

Looks like you are using wrong profile in NCSExpert,

you should use profile that has MAN manipulation enabled
usually names contain "MAN" in the name like "Expert MAN" or smth like that

Thanks, I'll give it a go when I get home. On a side note, those modules seem to be available regardless of whether I choose the CAS or FRM computer, is that weird? I haven't looked in NFRM yet but does it matter where I make those changes?

its just two modules thru which you connect to other modules

doesnot really matter which one you choose, CAS is default

Thanks levanime, I managed to successfully code the changes last night using the CNCoding profile. Getting everything working properly is a bit of a mission but pretty happy with the result. Funnily enough I seem to have updated to nz frequencies when I go to All Stations in the FM radio, but manual frequency selection still shows the Japanese frequencies.

Thanks for the help.
