Tuning potential without reliability hit?

So I'm pretty new here and I'm wondering what kind of tuning/mods I could do to my M240i xDrive (once I have it) that would not cause reliability to fall.

For example I'm assuming increasing WHP to 450+ puts some serious pressur on the engine.

Things I'm thinking about doing:

- anti-roll bars. Better handling?
- springs. Dinan?
- Exhaust and intake.

Overall I think I'd get 10-15HP more from the intake and exhaust, probably not noticeable except for better sound. Would the anti-roll bars and springs provide more grip?

Can I add these upgrades to my engine without reliability decreases?

Most start with the springs and then add the M3/M4 lower control arms to improve handling. Haven't heard much about anti-roll bars.
Then get a stage 1 tune once they come out, even the 1 plug solutions from JB or Dinan. Not sure if out just yet, but soon enough and you should break your car in for a bit anyway before horsepower mods like that.

Downpipe will give you the most power and will actually be easier on the engine/turbo. To avoid CEL get a quality catted one, not sure if out for M240 yet either, but I know CG Precision offers one for 340i so just a matter of time. I've got Fabspeed and it's high quality and no CEL for over a year.

Last would be intake and exhaust as they are both just noise makers and not really a performance mod. Plus if you do the downpipe you may be perfectly happy with the extra sound it produces and won't want/need the exhaust.

You can easily and safely do JB4 + Intake + Downpipe without any worry about reliability

You can massively increase the performance of your car by adding this option from BMW.

JB4 doesn't have a warranty like Dinan, I wouldn't put JB4 on my car. If you don't care about warranty then JB4 is an option. You get what you pay for is the old saying.

I started typing a response but realized I was just restating what kdog26372 had already said.

JB4 on map1 is a ver reliable boost in performance. Combine with an intake and some exhaust mods it definitely makes the car sound and perform much better then stock and retains all the BMW drivability.
