New BMW 4 Series - Question on best deal?

Hi All,

Hope everyone has been having a good weekend so far!

I've got a question, I'm looking to get into a new BMW 420d Manual MSport Grand Coupe, now according to the buy online website by BMW the figures are as follows, based upon my deposit, mileage & term:

Deposit: £2,500
Mileage: 15,000 per year
Term: 48 months
Monthly payment: £498.37
APR: 3.9%

I think this quite high in terms of a monthly payment, I was hoping with some negotiation I could get this down to £425 a month. Do you guys think I could do better than that or even achievable based on the above parameters?

Thanks,
Z

Spec the car up on coast2coast website and see what discount is offered. You can then use the GFV from the BMW website to work out what your monthly would be.

But yes, you should get nearer to £425 a month dependant on spec

You should do, I got my 430i for not too much more.

As said, look at coast2coast for a general idea of price, use that to shop around at some dealers.

I got mine through Tony Lewis at Berry BMW, as did a few others here I believe.

^^^ yep good advice there. Anyone looking for a new BMW should a) get a price from coast2coast and b) email Tony and get a price from him ....... then go from there.

As above, I'm sure you'd get a 430d for those monthlies, or even less than that.

I've just put a base car into coast2coast and its come out as below.
Then used pcpcal to work out rough monthlies based on £12K GFV (no idea what it would be).

Obviously when you start adding options the monthlies will go up. Factor £25 a month onto the monthlies for every £1000 of options.

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for their input. I will certainly reach out to the people mentioned to see what deals can be had and hopefully get something sorted.

I am intrigued that some think for the monthlies I am looking at that I could get into a 430D?!

Thanks,
Z

You get £6k off a 430d. I'd know where my money would go.

You haven't mentioned any options though, so these will bump your monthlies up.

The only cost option being added is Harmon/Kardon speaker system and the rest are non-cost options.

I've got a 430d and I'm paying a touch under £440 so anywhere close to £500 is too much. My car was spec'd to £43k, with a discount similar to what C2C is still showing, £3k deposit, 8k miles.

Also if insurance isn't too much more I'd definitely recommend the 30d over the 20d. A lot quieter as well as the huge punch when you put your foot down. What's not to like? Haha.

If you need any more info feel free to ask away

I've ordered a fairly well-specced F31 330i M Sport with HK, Pro Nav, 403M's and a few other bits & pieces, and with a £3Kdeposit and £3K dealer contribution I'm coming in at £399 a month over 4 years with 10K miles p.a.

That's from a Glasgow BMW franchise though, but there are deals to be had on the 4x's....

Garage List
As mentioned above check with coast2coastcars and also in nationwide vehicle contracts a personal lease for 430d GC is around 400/month with 6months rental advnace for a 48 months.. Ask whether the dealer can match that. This is with Msport plus pack

Well if the 430d is as cheap as people said it is ..... maybe the OP should be getting quotes on a 435d too!! (if his budget is up to £500 a month as per first post)

If I were him I'd be asking for quotes on 420d, 430d and 435d. He may have a nice surprise
