Transmission "Kick Jerk or Slip"
Difficult to describe.
Sometimes when i am driving at a very low speed and take my foot off the gas, the car jerks... it feels as though someone has tapped my rear bumper, its that severe. Any idea what I am trying to describe ? Thanks, Joseph

Transmission downshifting to the first gear. Actually, it is my pet peeve with automatic transmissions. How do you smoothly come to a complete stop?

Eco-pro mode helps a little bit. When I'm in heavy stop and go traffic I switch to it to reduce the head-jerking effect. |

Thanks, I see the reason behind that. I have manual anyway, I was just wondering since I felt it every time I had a loaner.
As for engine braking, I do it more when exiting highway by shifting to 4-th and then 3-rd. Approaching a stop light I shift to 3-rd but not not always. |

I've felt it as well. My understanding was it was the car shifting up because of its speed but just as it makes the shift up it discovers it's going too slow then shifts right back down again, a mistake a computer would make but not a human

Realized my car behaved the same way, but I rarely drive aggressively and I have a rather light foot. I believe my car ECU has learned my driving habits and I no longer feel the jerk nor drag. Or maybe I've gotten used to it.
