New M2 BSM DCT in the Netherlands
My BSM DCT M2 is scheduled for production in the last week of August. Hopefully sometime in September I'll be driving around Amsterdam in it I was very lucky to get an allocation from some guy that backed away from the deal and will only wait something like 2 months in total for it since the day I ordered it until I get it.
Car taxes will increase here in January and the car will cost 5/6k€ more by then which would make me also back away from the deal if I weren't to get it before the end of 2016. In September 2017, a new emission tests cycle (WLTP) is due to come into play which will further increase prices... Damned tax system! Because of this, value will hold better around here though. Will this also happen in other countries? Last edited by J.M; 08-02-2016 at 02:22 PM.. Reason: Adding question. |

I got the first part from my sales agent. He found some calculator or some BPM table for 2017 but I am not sure it was official (my dutch reading skills are very poor and my writing skills are nonexistent which hinders my googling abilities).
The second part is just a guess, but it is a fact that the new emission test cycle is due to become effective on September 2017 (http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-16-168_en.htm) and the consequence of that, if the tables are not adjusted accordingly is that the tax will increase. I am guessing that even if they are updated, they will take the chance to further charge the more polluting cars. I am also interested in knowing more about this and will try to obtain better informations. |

Mostly due to tax, but also to some extras such as heated seats (go figure) that come as standard and make it slightly more expensive. In Portugal for instance it starts at around 69800€ and in Germany at around 56k...

Prices are all down to local sales / emission / luxury car taxes.
For example in Denmark the base car price (inc. tax) is €126,146 / US$141,500

It is confirmed. The M2 base price has increased 6k euros to 85k euros in the Netherlands due to tax. Good news for me
