Blue M2 3k miles at Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch CO 64k quoted

Just a heads up, got a call from Schomp regrading a used M2 CPO for sale.
They quoted 64k on the phone and it is the DCT.
FYI!

Is it "recall" free?

There is a premium for this

I politely told him I was in the market for a manual and left it at that. I have patience on my time and will wait for the right car at the right price. That and I can't stand that blue stitching inside.... to each their own!

Interesting, might drive down there and take a look today if it is still there. Have not seen one in person yet.

I just test drove it. DCT and exec pack. They said they will be lowering the price tonight.

Car is a blast, everything I was hoping it would be, even with a slow & conservative test drive. Definitely tempting, but I hate not knowing how it was treated in the few K miles it has. They said it was owned by a car guy who has bought/traded 30+ cars with them and just goes through cars...

That is one of the dealer that I contacted last October. Their email they said they would be selling their M2s for MSRP;

"We just started accepting non-refundable deposits for the M2. We have a list of clients that are interested and now that the vehicle has been officially announced we are currently calling them in them order they inquired to collect deposits. I must tell you that since we are selling the M2 at MSRP we have quite a lot of interest."

To their credit, they got back to me quickly and further in the email said I would stand a better chance of getting an M2 from a dealer closer to me. Still, I guess the have gotten away from MSRP. Or, that doesn't apply to used cars!

They told me the $64k price is "market value" (supply & demand) and also included CPO I think...I went back and talked to them last night and they said they were going to sell it w/out CPO after all, and the price was a couple K over MSRP.

The car looked perfect and drove fine. The only thing odd I noticed was some kind of oil residue in those support tunnels down each side of the car (looking in the holes you could see it). No idea what that could be from or if it is normal? I didn't see oil anywhere else in the engine bay. (not a photo of the actual car)

I think you'll find it is a chassis rust inhibitor/sealer and is nothing to worry about.I've had it on previous BM's and it's a pale yellowish/brownish residue.

Yep, you're right. They told me this morning it was cosmoline coating which is rust prevention. Odd that I only saw it those specific areas. Learn something new...

Car is $59,981.00 now, firm.

I was interested, but just can't bring myself to pay that for slightly used. Also, +$700 to transfer the maintenance program which included the brake/pad replacements. They said 2 other people interested in the car and it will sell today, we'll see.

I'll keep my spot in line and continue with my plan for ED sometime next year
