Possible delays for US M4 GTS

So my production went to status 111 but got pushed by 8 weeks for no reason. Originally week 39. This is becoming a debacle like the i8 when it first came out as well. There are over 110 GTS that are in the production process when I spoke to my CA about this. There are a few GTS that are actually at port for almost 2 months without movement. So there is a hold on things but wonder why? Not one US GTS has been delivered. Sales manager at my dealership also tried to find info but nothing concrete. I only found out of the delay by calling BMWNA. Hopefully things change. The rest of the world gets their GTS but not us WTF? Wondering if anybody has experienced delays. Or maybe just me ha ha. Trying to be patient!!!

Maybe issues with getting pass some of the DOT regulations? This car is like barely street legal.

Our fire extinguishers were installed up until a couple days before our delivery. Transport Canada would not release the needed safety decal

I possibly can't speak for America but here in the uk I'm waiting still indefinitely now due to the rear suspension recall on them which I know others are struggling with too. I should have taken delivery last week and now I don't have a delivery date at all.

May have something to do with this ?

No the rear susp bushings were on early production cars. If it needed to be done the job takes 30 minutes.

My local dealer had a GTS on the showroom floor a month ago, which they've sold since. I've seen other posts of people in the US getting their GTS's as well....or am I reading this wrong and you're saying a certain build week of the GTS hasn't been delivered?

The new replacement bushing is not working out. Noise is still there, but not as bad as before.

There are cars that have been produced and completed but I have not heard of any US customer taken delivery of one if not mistaken. Cause it would have been most likely posted on here.

That could be the possibly but that shouldn't have affected my production week since the car hasn't even started production.

I don't believe that there have been any customer deliveries in the US. There are cars driving around i.e. At MRLS yesterday but they are BMW NA cars.

That GTS at BMW Seattle and other PNW dealers was a pre-production VIN. Not a sold car.

Seems like the delivery delays are mirroring those of the i8! Some technical issues, some DOT/EPA issues and the frustrating "port hold". I would not be surprised if the first deliveries occur at Pebble Beach, just like the i8, to a "select" group of celebrities.

Yes total debacle like the i8. I had the first allocation in Indianapolis and had to give it up cause they were not honoring pure impulse world cause of constraints on the seats. Then second allocation got pushed back. Exact same thing with GTS. Shame on you BMWNA

This. After BMW Seattle it went down to Tacoma for a few days. Crazy how inaccuracies are spouted as facts here. Worse than a PTA meeting sometimes.
