New member saying hi

Just came over from the e90 section. I had an e93 I traded in for a f23. It was a left over 2015 that they were giving away. I think it has almost every option. I just learned how to let it park itself. My old car was an 09 so some of the tech is new to me. Looking forward to learning more about this little gem

The neatest little trick is the stash box above the drivers left knee.

After two years it's still a thrill every time I start up my 2, hope you feel the same.

Nice. The convertibles look nice, you gotta fix those mirror caps though.

Oh I will have to look for that. Btw is it normal to not have ambient lighting in the vert? My e93 had it. There is a setting for it in idrive but I see no lights

The caps threw me. I also have a little antenna in addition to the shark fin. Which is odd. I feel like I have an 80s car phone

Oh my, read this and went out to the garage and found the stash box. I had no idea. Thanks for the tip!

Welcome and congrats on the new car!

The f2X does not have the lighting along the sides of the car. The "Ambient Lighting" are the little lights that shine down on the center console from the mirror/upper console, and they are DIM. If you crank the instrument lighting all the way up you can just about see that they light up the gearshift area. Much brighter in my e91. Supposedly they can be coded brighter, but I haven't gotten that far yet!

The vert does or doesn't have exterior door handle entrance lighting?

How about the ambient lighting that's the little LED above the interior chrome door handle latch and the LED up high in the footwells - both only visible in the dark.

One other thing I noticed and you can see it in the pic. There is a red plastic cover For the seatbelt on thr driver side but not on the passenger side. Is the red supposed to be there or something they just didn't remove?
