M4 convertible, m6 convertible or 440i convertible? They are probably the best ones.

The M4 or M6 have got to be the best but trying a 440i would be the place to start I think. As mentioned previously it all comes down to budget. The 430i may be worth a test drive as well but coming from a 330d it may be disappointing. A convertible has got to be petrol, who wants to listen to a diesel engine when the top is down?

If it's going to be a daily driver a 4 series is going to be the best compromise. A hard top convertible will be more civilised when you've got the roof up.
The 6 series rear seats are only really suitable for very occasional use and of course it's a big heavy car so more suited to wafting around rather than pressing on. The 2 series is in my view the absolute sweet spot. Practical enough for everyday driving even with 4 onboard, however small enough to be really fun when you want. I say this as a previous owner of a 1 series convertible which was really fantastic. |

Of course you are...
Does it have to be a BMW? If not have a look at the new Aventador roadster too! |
