Hey guys!

just picked up my M2 yesterday in Málaga (Spain), and i can confirm that it came with the new iDrive which is AWESOME.

Production started mid June and ended on the 28th, so i hope that all of you that are receiving your cars from now have the iDrive installed too



the car is PERFECT.

Interesting! Is yours a MY16 or MY17?

Mine finished production on June 16th, wonder if it is getting the 5.0.

Good to hear... the mixed reports seem to indicate that some will get 5.0 and others (I.e. Canada) won't. But I really have a hard time imagining them switching the production line back and forth - so if you are getting it, we should as well.

I'm told that if you have NBT Evo then the new idrive will come with a software update...

Do you know if there is an easy way to check if the MY16's have it?

Now that a 17 is out, wouldn't there be a part catalogue online that we could check if the 17 hardware is the same as the 16 (excluding screen, cause we know that it is a higher resolution)

Pretty sure all MY16's have NBT Evo - you can find out by going into the navigation going to options and selecting software info, it should say Evo somewhere - will post a picture later.

and yes the car is epic, spanked one round nurburgring for 2 days last week.

Mine was delivered to port yesterday but can't get it until next Friday due to work travel...it's killing me!!!

And yes, I heard a few months back from my guys that the software could be retrofitted on the MY16's, so this further corroborates that.

You are lucky in Spain because you don't have these ugly amber reflectors that ruins the look of the front bumper. In North America we have them. Of course we can replace them with iND painted reflectors but it is against the law.

About iDrive 5.0, lets hope we all get it in our M2 !

In Spain it needed the optional code 609 (Navigation Professional) to have the iDrive, but i believe that if you have the Pro Nav as standard it should come with it! Good luck

I do have option 609. I will have to wait until mid-September to confirm the iDrive5.0

We all have the ones on the back but the amber front ones are uglier and they ruins the front end of the car.

im ditching the front reflelctors (with IND) I doubt any law enforcement will pick up on the delete...

Good luck with the shipping! Be prepared to spend more than what the reflectors cost.

Glad to hear. I hated the old I-Drive. It also never displays the top 45 #'s on sirrus because lines runs out.

I'd liked the current Benz, Audi, and newer 2017+ Porsche systems better.
