330D wheel sizes
Could anyone with a 330D without the blue brakes have a look at the tyre size sticker inside the drivers door & post whether 16 inch wheels are listed or are 17's the smallest on the placard?
Thx v much. |

You need 17" wheels for the standard 330d.

Let's be honest, you need at least 19" wheels on a 330d.

You need at least 18" if you have the blue M Sport brakes and even then I think you need to be sure of the offset of non oem wheels.

In answer to the original question
2014 330dx I do have the big brakes, so given 17" wheels are mentioned, I would assume these are the smallest that can be fitted to the standard car. I believe the Police use 17" wheels on their 330d's.

18" is the minimum with Blue Brakes on a 330d. Even then there isn't much space left. The rotor alone is 370mm, almost 15"
Image is 18" 441M winters on my 330d

What Rich9600 said. There is no way 17" will go over M Sport brakes.
I too have the blue M Sport brakes and my summers are 19" but winters are 18".

Thanks all,
So appears minimum is 17" for std brakes and 18" for MSport. Appreciate the info. Yes Ronstein, I am in Fleet so plenty of noise from the airshow. Shame the weather is pants though and the nanny state are preventing access to the hill overlooking the runway post Shoreham this time despite the flying display being over the town itself! Go figure. Last edited by Flyboy777; 07-13-2016 at 11:39 AM.. |

Had a 17" alloy on mine for a few days while my alloy went for a refurb and I've got the M Sport brakes so
I did read 18" is the smallest previously so I questioned the repair place but they put it on and it did fit. I weren't the happiest with it on there but it definitely did fit and had no knocking/scraping sounds at all. If I were buying a set without being able to fit them first I think I'd go 18" just to be on the safe side though. Plus they'd look a lot better than 17's. |

A 17" wheel may fit over the smaller rear rotor on a 330d with blue brakes...

However West Yorks have at least one black F31 330d M Sport, with 18" M400's. Their marked cars are 330d's, granted not M Sport, and run 17" wheels.

I looked into this when buying a set of winter wheels for my 2013 330d Touring, and 17" was the smallest size that would fit.

You didn't, I was just stating that they don't generally use M Sport models so wouldn't have the M Sport Brakes fitted hence the 17" wheels being used.
