I had mine done yesterday at 71K at BPC (preventative, but it was starting to show some play).

I just rolled over 83 K. What is the consensus as to preventative replacement?

I am trying to hold on until the Fluidamp is available, but ...

I ordered a Febi from FCP a week or two ago and was told that they're out of stock. A Vaico part was offered to me instead. I declined - I'll try to hold out for the Fluidamper at this point

I would just wait. You can always inspect it without removing it if you want. Mine at 135k looks OK still, just inspected this weekend while doing the downpipe. I'm trying to hold out for the fluidampr replacement part.

interesting... I ordered a few weeks ago but just got to it... I'm not happy that I didn't receive a febi... I bought from FCP because they showed it in stock. I was never told anything as to why I was sent this brand which isn't even listed on their site... called today but had just closed due to summer hours...

Visual inspection. Thinking about it, this might be the first legitimate use for a selfie stick. Its in a place that would be kind of tough to inspect with a mirror, but selfie stick...

Mine died halfway between STL and ATL (Nashville.) I installed the Vauco unit. I'll let you know if it croaks. It had spokes and vents in the back the oem one didn't.
