Can a dealer be swapped on future PCP?

I've only just changed my car so won't affect me yet, however just curious when I do come to change again in future on PCP can I use any dealer? Or would I have to go back to the original garage where I first bought the car?

Pretty sure you can as your pcp is with bmw fs and not the dealer you buy the car from.

Yes any dealer, your pcp is likely with BMW finance and not a given dealer.

You can even sell privately as long as you cover off amount owed to finance.

In fact I would definitely shop around with other dealers to get best trade in value versus discount on next car.

any dealer, any brand, doesn't make a difference! they will check with finance company and get the settlement figure and pay it off!

Will

The guys here have all given you the answer but there may be a need to dig a bit deeper as to what you want.

Sure you can go to Audi for an A4 and they'll settle the finance with BMWFS at end of PCP either with no equity coming back to you or a positive value as a part deposit.

Only problem would be if the bottom had fallen out of second hand market for your 330D and Audi's valuation fell far short of your GFV amount. No bother then you'd simply return the car to BMW and not take the hit of the negative equity.

In practice I very much doubt if my rider would ever occur.

+1

An advantage of going to a different BMW dealer and getting a settlement figure is that your supplying dealer will also get a notification that you requested a settlement. They then be on the case knowing that you are shopping around. You'll be in the driving seat
