pretty logical really but ahead of my visit to france next week, was meddling in settings and if you choose units where you can have mpg or l/km etc, if you choose kmh instead of mph you get the speed in the HUD in km/h which will be handy for the autoroutes, rather than looking at the speedo and having to read km not mph.

Even more useful in an M3/4, as it only shows MPH on the speedo!

I recently drove up and down France for the Euros and it is indeed a very handy feature. You'll also see your range turn to KM's as well.

Deep joy, I just went into my iDrive and I don't have the option to switch between kmh and mph. I'm just about to bugger off overseas on my hols for three weeks and this would have been jolly useful. I suppose it's too much to hope that it'll switch automatically.

It must be there! Keep looking... It's not a speed option but a distance option IIRC
