Rukka's 440i - Now Detailed **PIC HEAVY**
So I decided to give it a go myself and have just spent the best part of 5 hours on my new baby.
When I collected it, it was in very good shape with no swirls or marks etc so I bought a Gardx kit of ebay for buttons and set about sealing it myself. Now I know Gardx isn't the best, but the actual product itself isn't too bad and if applied properly should last a couple of years. So after cleaning it to within an inch of it's life, I set about doing the bodywork, door shuts and wheels. also did the seats with leather-guard and the carpets and mats with stain guard. Whaddaya think?

Looks the same as the first set of pictures?
Looks really good mate, nothing like doing it yourself to know it's been done right.

Had to do something - but it won't be staying. Freshener will be binned as soon as it done its job .

Nice one Dave. Apart from the sound. How does it compare?

In terms of engine, its only got 130 miles on it yet but first impressions are that it drives the same as the 435d when you're pootling about. No noticeable difference in low down power. Gear changes are early, which surprised me - changing up as low as 1200 rpm. Smoothness is the biggest difference. Ie, vibration/harshness. I was in an underground car park the other day and even with the window open, you couldn't hear the engine. Really quiet. I've only taken it above 5000 rpm twice (when I picked it up - just to seal the rings you see.........) but it sounds lovely. This 440i seems the best of both worlds between the 235i and the 435d. I think it's a keeper .
