Rather tempted
I've only had my F30 328i for about 6 months, but circumstances have changed.
Just after it was acquired the wife announced that we were having a dog (why she didn't tell me before so I could have got an F31 Estate is a mystery of the female mind!) Anyway,a small estate car is arriving shortly to take care of dog and people carrying duties so my mind turned to something a bit more sporty for me.I like the idea, next year,of a 240i but this has turned up locally: http://www.parkwayspecialistcars.co....sport-2dr-dct/ It's the colour combo I would choose,it's got all the options I would want and more.On the other hand it's two years old and an almost obselete model, and is the price right? What do we think? |

I looked at a AUC 135i but ended up ordering a new M140i as it worked out cheaper with TRL due to the way the finance is structured etc. It may be worth looking at new...

In a similar boat, with wife now saying she with be happy with an estate or similar car for the dog.
Looked at both 1 and 2 series today in Derby, then trip to Ford and look at a couple mustangs. My looking for cars turned in to wife deciding to test drive a Focus ST estate lol. Check out Coast 2 Coadt cars on discounts, the 140i looks a great bargain, 3.0 petrol under £30k. Remember with a 5 door 140i, you will be able to pop dog in back now n then as well. |

On reflection I'll probably wait until next year and look at new,and I will leave it open whether it's a 140i or 240i and decide at the time.
That 235i looks a lot of money for a 2 year old car, although it does have a lot of options. |

Just remember that the VED changes coming into affect from 01/04/17 will have an impact on £40k and over at list price But yes a 140/240i would be a fab car to own

When you are about ready drop him an email, available on here. Coast 2 Coast is best starting point and shows what can be achieved. Regarding ST, would be an Estate, however she still has to check Golf R estate next week. You could always look outside of BMW, some good deals on other fast small cars as well. |

That's nigh identical to the M235i I had. I'd say go for it. they're an awesome car.
