I purchased the K+DCAN cable to perform some coding on my E90 M3.

I have finished most of the coding for now.

What other tasks can I use this cable to do?

Can you register a new battery when it is replaced, can you reset service intervals, can you monitor coolant or oil temperatures or voltages?

I have searched around a bit, with no luck with my search terms. Carly for BMW offers lots of these features, but you have to buy each feature and another adapter.

Any advice would be helpful.

Just buy a cable from cableshack on ebay in UK. $50 and some change for peace of mind knowing that it will work and not mess anything up with your car.

Use INPA to read fault codes. Reset modules for errors.. Yes to engine management as well.

I'm here using it to test why the heck my mirrors do not heat up anymore..
