M Performance steering wheel

Hi all,

Anyone purchased an M Performance steering wheel for M4? If so, thoughts on the driving experience, distracting? Fun? Silly? And any idea of price?

Thanks

Two versions available

Non Elec and the Electronic version shown above. I personally really like the non-electronic version, the alcantara looks and feels great, the electronic one for me is a bit gimmicky (but could certainly be useful for some). Both include the trim piece. Airbag, buttons and paddles are carried over from your existing wheel.

Non Elec $1,100

Electronic $2,046

Hey Stuart, Where do you get the price from? Anyone find the Non-Elec for sub $1k?

Sold, though I am debating whether I want flashy lights or not ?

I am a techy at heart, so it's tempting. Both look great.

This is our BMR Autowerkes RRP and I would like to believe we have priced it quite competitively.

For example, ECS Tuning sells the wheel for $1,050 USD before further shipping charges https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...147/ES2767132/

If we can maybe get 3 (or more) people together we could do a group buy and I can pass on any additional savings.

EDIT: just checked and can't move on price on the wheel unfortunately

Is your quote for the non-electronic wheel inclusive of fitting?

Check out the DIY here http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1204092

Not really a DIY for me, but if you're game I suppose you could do it.

Are these smaller in diameter than the stock leather wheel?

Feels exactly the same to me.
Install I would say a 2 on a scale of 5...5 being super difficult

Hey man,

I've got the version 1 full alcantara wheel! It's a sweet wheel, changes the feel of the interior the second it goes in! In my option probably the best interior mod to do!

I'm a pretty clean guy so no dirty hands, but the sweat and natural oils do tend to mat down the alcantara fibers. I use Sonax cleaner and the wheel comes right back to 99% new.
$18 on amazon I believe
