BMW 7 Series
My 335d GT is going into the body shop tomorrow, after 3 month of driving since new, someone decided to alter the back and of my 335d GT slightly. The woman that hit me admitted liability and her insurance rang me the same day admitting liability. Just had a call from the car rental company and they are putting me in a 2016 7 series while its in for repair. Photos to follow!

Good result! I tried this with the insurance company of the guy who hit me but they had no interest!
Then when accident exchange billed them for £3k for the courtesy car they gave me, they contested it! Even though i told them that was what i was going to do! |

They had promised me a 5 series as I said I needed the space of my 3 GT, they rang me up this afternoon and said would I be willing to pay the extra for a new 7 series? I said no a 5 series is fine. They said they would call me back in 30 minutes. When they called me back they said they had to let the 5 series go out to a woman that would only drive a 5 series, but as a gesture of good will, they would put me in the 7 series at no extra cost!

Shame about getting your new car touched like that but at least the lady was decent about it. But lucky you with getting a 7...looking forward to you post.

Loving the GT, loads of space, great boot space. Great car for work. Still prefer the 435d coupe that I got to replace the stolen 335d though!

Just a query regarding the hire car. Are you being asked to sign a credit hire agreement by an accident management company assigned by your own insurers? Or are the other party's insurers arranging the repair and paying for the loan car directly? If signing a credit hire agreement be very careful as it may get contested by the other sides insurers. You could end up with a substantial amount coming back for you to pay or waste time in legal action/court fending off. Please also think carefully if you really need a 5/7 series. Would a Mondeo or Isignia not be suitable? Prestige hire cars push up everyone's insurance premiums! |

I'm sure someone off here has had an M5 through accident exchange as a courtesy car. I'd be very careful incase the at fault driver's insurance won't cover the hire charge.
