E92 Msport tyre question

Hello all, quick question regarding tyres.

I went to the garage to get two new rear tyres today. The garage wouldn't put on taller tyres as they think it will upset the cars sensors? Apparently the puncture light and something else might come on causing running issues? I've never had a complicated car like this before. My last car was a FD3S 13b and it was less confusing than the technical aspect of this 08 E92 Msport haha.

Here is my my current wheel and tyre spec.

OEM MV4 19" BMW alloys all round.
Front tyres: 225/35/19ZR 19 88W XL
Rear tyres: 225/30ZR 19 91Y XL

Car is on standard suspension for the model. What tyres can I run for more comfort without causing issues?

Thanks in advance

Are your wheels staggered? 225/30/19 in the rear is way too short!

I don't believe there staggered. Both are 19 inch wheels. I'm certain they came on the car from the factory.
What tyre size would you suggest?

Thank you for your help.

I should clarify, I'm certain the alloys are standard. The tyres have been replaced by previous owner.

Are you sure the rears aren't 255/30 rather then 225/30?

Do you know what staggered and the tire sizing numbers mean? Right now if those tire sizes are correct, you have super short and skinny rears.if you don't know thee wheel widths etc but they are oem, post a pic.
