Finally took the time for a full detail

In the 4 years of ownership, my 335i has never been detailed other than the occasional wash and wax from the dealership....I know I know lazy me!! Needless to say, there were tons of swirl marks and scratches all over the car.

I started off with a regular wash 6am in the morning so I wouldn't catch the heat from the sun.

Afterwards, I hit it with IronX and a claybar

Pulled it in the garage afterwards...let the detail begin!

Look at them swirls...

Doing my test spots, unfortunately some required stronger pads but these were the only ones I had

Looking better....f36 in the back

Ready to apply my CarPro CQuartz

Pulled it out the sun for a better view

Overall, this was a long process because I took my time. And more importantly, my first time working with harder paint. I wished I had more aggressive pads to take out some of the deeper scratches. Otherwise, I am pretty satisfied with the whole process. Thanks for watching!

Looks great! Don't sweat the RIDS... as long as you got the swirls out, the clarity and gloss will be drastically improved!

You're going to love the CQuartz

Good choice with C Quartz I've heard good things. That will help with keeping the car cleaner and washing less frequently if you aren't in love with washing the car.

Just make sure to use the two bucket method and proper microfibers to prevent future scratches!
