My dealer just received notification from Spartanburg, SC that BMW "isn't doing any deliveries on the M2 at the Performance Center yet". I had requested Performance Center Delivery and my dealer had just gotten a production number for my car. BMW did not elaborate and state when Performance Center Delivery would be available. I was given the option of releasing my production number to the next person on the list and waiting until Performance Center Delivery opened (for which they could not give me a time frame) or accept delivery at my local dealer. I,of course, took delivery at my local dealer.

That's odd, I thought I have read that some already took PCD on their M2. I wonder why this all of a sudden, hope they open it up soon though as PCD is such a great experience.

Yes, you do paperwork a couple weeks ahead of time.

I am doing PCD on mine. I just got my build number and I am week 32 build. I have done 2 PCD deliveries already. You will get dates to pick from 2-3 weeks after you get your build number. PCD will not schedule if the car is status 111.

Swimfanrick, I may be right behind you in the allocation queue. If you have any flexibility in trading down a spot or two, feel free to PM me to discuss.

This. You can't schedule (dealer can't even put in the PCD option) until your car finishes production I believe (at the very least, it needs to start production).

Thanks, all. Obviously, my dealership doesn't know what it's doing. Just got off phone with BMW Genius. They stated I definitely am scheduled for PCD. Probably too early to schedule date since my car 111 status.

As soon as the status goes to 150 or even sooner they will schedule. My past 2 PCD deliveries were scheduled before the car was built but had a vin. My dealer just called me to say that they just got notice from the Performance center that they can not schedule until the 17 models clear the standard EPA hold BS but they will be scheduling them once they clear.

David1 - I talked to the performance center directly and they confirmed what your dealership told you. I'll update the thread as soon as I hear from either my dealership or the performance center that the EPA has cleared the '17 and the performance center can start making appointments for performance center delivery.
