Good info thanks. Can you comment some more about the formula and what that entails?

So is that saying the Oct/Nov/Dec allocations are being released now as well? Or just a notification that the next batch released (whenever) will be for those months?

Basically same formula they've always used, which is the more M/i cars we sell, the more we get.

Wish I could be more specific.

It's interesting though because everyone's already been told what they're getting for the year, but perhaps those numbers could change.

Our center is now up to 5 cars, the first being our HEA, then our first configured 2016, and now the 3 2017s we have coming in sept.

That more or less puts us on track to get the 17 or 18 total M2s we were told we are getting.

Lol I copied and pasted this time just to make sure there was no confusion but, no, the next allocation will likely come some time in sept for oct/nov/dec production volumes.

Thanks for the info. I'm #2 on my dealer list and still no word from them...finding it very hard to believe they didn't get ANY allocations for this first batch.

Thanks for all the info CADK. Can you elaborate on what you mean by on track? My dealer is in almost the same spot but keeps telling me that they were promised 12 cars for the year, yet they will only have 5 cars (including delivered/allocated) through September? Is the next batch going to be huge?

Thanks for the information, I am in that batch somewhere, GM of the dealer says they are waiting to hear what the production date is going to be but they got allocation in that first batch of 2017's for me. Super excited.

Could very well be calendar year if they are high volume.

No. The number each dealer got before the launch is all production for MY16-17, so really two model years

Then one of you is incorrect for certain. Some reps must be providing model year numbers and some calendar year.

To whom was this bulletin sent? My dealer has been remarkably agnostic about any of the information you have characterized as being sent by BMW--as in, he has not heard of it, doesn't know it, doesn't know when he will know anything, etc.. It would be helpful to know just what he SHOULD have access to, especially now and in the fall, as configurable allocations roll out...

It's a BMWNA wide broadcast message--literally on the front page of DCSnet. Not sure how anyone could miss it...

Same here! My guy (and the New Car Director, apparently) claim they have no information and no idea when they might get allocations.

Is it possible to see how many allocations for each dealer in DCSnet?

Just notified that I've been allocated an M2 to be built in September and hopefully arrive in October for $1500 above MSRP. What would you do?
Thanks

Depends on whether or not you've had a deposit down. I have a deposit down at MSRP (like most) and if my dealer came to me with $1500 over...I would walk just based on principle. I dont need the car today, and I have a feeling that markups are going to be a thing of the past fairly soon.
